Demystify with Efficiency: The Top Chrome Extension for Debugging WordPress with WP Debug

Developers and WordPress users alike are always on the lookout for tools that can make their work more efficient and streamlined. Enter WP Debug , a highly rated Chrome extension that is transforming the way we debug in WordPress. With an impressive rating of 4.79 out of 5, WP Debug is indeed one of the top Chrome extensions in browser tools category.

A Closer Look at WP Debug

WP Debug is a simple yet transformative tool that showcases the API names on a record detail page in Salesforce classic/lightning. Activating WP Debug is a breeze - just click on the extension icon on your record detail page, and voila, the field/object API name is added to the page. Interestingly, it even supports shortcuts for MacOS, Windows, Linux, and ChromeOs.

What Users Are Saying

WP Debug has received rave reviews from users globally. Mohamed Chriyaa admitted it's "super useful" and would love the ability to use it in the Report builder. Anum Farooq and Jimmy Whittemore both find it "very helpful and simple", indicating its user-friendly design. Manuel Müller described WP Debug as "sooooo simple but yet so needed."

On the other hand, Rhys Cuff pointed out a minor issue where it intermittently fails to show all API names, but noted that this is resolved by refreshing the page. Similarly, Tim Bouscal mentioned a few fields don't show their API name, however, he commends the extension for working well in both Classic and Lightning modes.

Room for Improvement

Users suggest a few areas for improvement. Jesse Hoosemans and Ethan Norris, for instance, both love WP Debug but would like the ability to see API names on Report columns as well. Robyn Jungers suggested the API names could be highlighted in a bright/bold color for better visibility.

Final Thoughts

WP Debug is an innovative Chrome extension that has proven to be a valuable asset among developers and WordPress users. Its high user rating attests to its functionality, efficiency, and simplicity, despite few and far between criticisms. It is, without a doubt, a top Chrome utility tool worth trying.

Anum Farooq

Jimmy Whittemore

Very helpful and simple - thank you!!

Works well in both Classic and Lightning. I like that it also shows the record id at the top of the detail page. I have seen a few fields that it won't show the API name but it appears to be intermittent and resolved by refreshing the page.

Ethan Norris

This is awesome! Would love the ability to also see API names on Report columns!

Jesse Hoosemans

The best!

Robyn Jungers

This is really a great tool to have. Would be nice if the api names showed up in a different bold/bright color, though. That's the only thing I can think of that might make the extension a little better. Otherwise it's a great tool to use.

Kei Iino

Worked in Lightning mode! This is super helpful.

Andrew Cohen

This works with our custom Lightning application when Greytab and API fieldnames would not.
